POWER MOVE WITH HARVOK
Harvok teams automotive ingenuity and lithium muscle with classic caravan-camping design
Following extensive design, testing and tooling-up for manufacturing, the Harvok Suit of Armour–the world’s first monocoque-designed electric caravan and 4×4 camper range–is rolling into dealerships in four Aussie states, including NSW, Vic, SA and WA. As a result, more Aussie travellers can now inspect some of the world’s best electric caravans and 4WD campers, made just like their tow vehicles–an industry first.
Three models
The three models within Harvok’s Suit of Armour range feature a combined body and chassis that’s cold-pressed and robotically welded for durability. Antistatic coating shields them from weathering. Two classic 19ft 6in setups include an off-road family caravan and an electric caravan with a two-seat dinette suitable for couples. The travelling camper pushes the boundaries further, opening up like a beach box. Indeed, the 2022 Australian Good Design Awards programme celebrated the Suit of Armour off-grid electric caravan and travel camper line-up, championing Australian caravan engineering.
Luxe living

The flagship Suit of Armour 1960 RD is a brightly lit luxury off-grid electric caravan with leather upholstery and high gloss benchtops and cabinets contrasting with matt black kitchen fittings. It has a long practical benchtop with a deep sink and drainer next to the safe two-hob induction cooktop. What lifts this luxury 4×4 electric caravan layout is the leather dinette. It’s high-quality, featuring leg rests and headrests across the back and side with no fussy panelling.
Air-con off-grid

Harvok caravans have a 48V power system that’s game-changing, comprising a 9.6 kWh caravan lithium battery setup and 1000W in solar. Air-conditioning mid-ship operates off-grid via a 3000W inverter. And with no gas vents required, the insulation works better and it’s easier to keep clean. Left, the queen-size bed and bedhead offer targeted, diffused lighting for reading. The rear bathroom has a separate shower, toilet, ceramic basin, washer, heaps of cupboards and a large mirror.
Outdoor ease
Outdoor living starts with the electric awning. Forward, both e-rv caravans feature a tunnel boot. You can option a lockable checker-plate toolbox with a slide-out, room for firewood, jerry holders or optional gas rings for a barbie. The door is car-like bolstering campsite security. And there are two speakers and a drop-down table for happy hour nibbles. Given the Suit of Armour series is off-road, all electric 4×4 camper and 4×4 caravan models come with a DO35 hitch and independent coil-sprung suspension.
Final thoughts

Within the Suit of Armour 1960 RD and FV, Harvok packages state-of-the-art manufacturing and real off-grid innovation with a much-loved format synonymous with comfortable caravan camping. The new travelling camper looks exciting, too, hinting at things to come. Watch this space.
