Achieving true apartment-style living is the pinnacle of luxury RV touring. And the Paradise Independence Platinum realises this with patented dual slide-outs—the key to its ultra-wide interior and success. Now emboldened by an EcoFlow 10kW off-grid power, 1140W of solar, 4000W inverter-generator and more than 300L/90L in fresh and grey water storage, it’s next level luxury, well and truly unleashed.

Iveco Daily Platform and Driving Performance

This revitalised specification builds upon the Independence’s exquisite touring platform, a converted Iveco Daily 72C210 with a smooth eight-speed gearbox and 3.0L twin-turbo diesel riding on self-levelling airbags and a 5.1m wheelbase. It comes with a full suite of driver, mapping, camera, security and safety comforts-most notably, diff lockers on the rear wheel drive, pulling 470Nm of torque @210hp into lockstep when you’re in a tizz. Fully insulated, the Independence Platinum measures 8.7m long, 3.3m high and 2.4m wide for travelling—expanding to 3.4m internally at camp, courtesy of Paradise’s patented dual slide-outs that support a high-tensile steel frame with rollover protection.

Apartment-Style Living with Full Climate Control

As you’d expect within these dimensions, stepping into the Independence Platinum invokes modern apartment-style living. It functions that way too, with ducted heating, instantaneous hot water and two reverse cycle air-conditioners for the master bedroom and the dining space. On entry via electrically operated steps, a long and spacious double diamond-stitched leather club lounge capitalises on half of the off-side slide-out. It also integrates with road seating for passengers 3 and 4, adjacent the double diamond-stitched driver and front passenger swivel seats—such lovely detailing.

Flexible Layout and Entertainment Features

Now, if those four seatbelts are cause for concern, relax. The layout is fully utilised, whether you’re travelling as a couple, with friends or family ; that’s thanks to the club-lounge infill forming a large day-night bed in view of a 32in Smart TV with Gen3 Starlink for all your entertainment needs. I really like that this space is big enough to properly accommodate a second adult couple-or a teen, for managing the transition from family-to empty nester-touring without the unused space. I quite like the Dometic Coolmatic CD 30 drawer fridge, too. It’s close to the table and so convenient for accessing nibblies and drinks in upholstered- and climate-controlled comfort while overlooking camp.

Off-Grid Power System and Kitchen Specifications

For cooking up something a little more substantial, there’s the two-door tropical rated Dometic 216L compressor fridge in the adjacent kitchen. The built-in convection oven and two-burner induction cooktop help to optimise the benchtop space. They’re ably supported by the 1140W solar array on the curved thermo-insulated roof and the App or digital display-controlled EcoFlow battery management system, presiding over 10kW of lithium battery storage. And not forgetting the USR Tec40 4000W petrol inverter-generator. Style-wise, the kitchen seen here features a marble finish on the gently illuminated benchtops with a black trim, looking smart alongside a chic one-piece acrylic splashback. You can choose and customise your own finishes and colour palette. The joinery’s interlocking with new Blum fittings and patented auto locks on the cabinets that activate on ignition.

Master Bedroom Suite and Ensuite Details

Peek behind the curtains to the 3.4m-wide master bedroom and that is where you feel the full benefits of the dual slide-out configuration. Starting with a feature wall of cabinetry with shelves and hanging space for your traveller wardrobe and a Nespresso Cafe machine surrounding a huge 40in Smart TV. To access the underbed storage, simply push a bottom on the remote control and let the actuators do all the lifting. Opposite, there’s unencumbered access to three sides of the east-west orientated bed-and that massive ensuite, it’s just there. It feels and functions very much a home with details like mirrored medicine cabinets, moreover, you can store a lot, not just in volume but weight.

Towing Capacity and Vehicle Specifications

Indeed, requiring a LR licence, and built upon Iveco’s mightiest Daily with a towbar and wiring fitted standard, the Paradise Independence Platinum runs a 7200kg Gross Vehicle Mass and 10,500kg Gross Combined Mass, when towing. As fitted out, the Independence Platinum Tares in about 5.T with fuel and water included leaving you with around a 1300kg payload. Even after accounting for luxuries like a 900x750mm shower and an 8kg-capacity washer and drying machine. A marine-style macerator toilet with a 100L holding tank gives you a little more time between dump point runs-great for self-sufficiency.

External Features for Outdoor Living

Externally, the Paradise team nail this space on the Independence starting with a massive electric Carefree awning. On the slide-out, you’ll find a BBQ, 24in TV and a picnic table, one of two. The other’s conveniently located by the door, next to a power point. There are oodles of external storage and a hot and cold shower to help keep mud its place. Out the back, there’s a ladder for accessing the roof and a BR electric dual bike carrier rated to 60kg, supporting two electric bikes for tootling into town.
