
Camp Cooking: PAN FRIED BANANAS
Borgy lets us in on his go to camping desert!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 2 x ripe banana’s
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil
- Sprinkle of salt
- Vanilla ice cream
HOW IT’S DONE
- Peel your bananas and slice them ½ inch thick.
- On medium to high temperature, melt your butter in the pan and add the cinnamon, honey and salt.
- Gently stir and mix it all together, then add your banana slices to the pan.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes each side until the honey caramelizes. You want the bananas to be cooked through and browned but still firm enough to hold their shape.
- Once done, add your bananas to a bowl of ice cream and enjoy!
TOP TIPS
- Make sure your pan is seasoned well or non-stick, unless you want a honey-glazed pan from now on.
- Try adding some marshmallows, chocolate chips or peanuts.
- Add it to your French toast for a super delicious breakfast!
