Back in Black with All Terrain tyres: The Ford Ranger Black Edition Returns in an XL to Australia for 2026
Back in black: One month in production, Ford Australia is now taking orders on the Ranger Black Edition, dressing its popular Ranger XL double-cab twin turbo 2.0L part-time 4×4 with cargo goodies and black accents, from $55,000 drive-away in Arctic White for ABN holders.
Ford Ranger Black Edition Features and Styling
Production will commence from this September till October, 2025, with delivery anticipated from October 2026 says Ford. Time limited appointments include black 17in alloy wheels shod with All Terrain tyres, a mesh grille and a racy long-legged sports bar. That’s teamed with a carpeted floor, side drop-in bed liner, side steps and a clever cargo management system.
“The Ranger Black Edition is back by popular demand, offering a fantastic blend of style, capability, and value,” Ford Australia president and CEO Andrew Birkic explains.
Towing Capacity and Optional Extras
For caravanners, Ford offers a 3.5T towing pack (braked) retailing for $1950. Premium paint is $750.
The 2.0L Bi-Turbo pairs seamlessly with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and part-time 4×4. With the four-cylinder packing 154kW @ 3,750rpm and 500Nm @ 1,750-2,000rpm of torque.
Drivers can also access entertainment and driving instruments via coast-to-coast instrument panel, embedded modem, 8in digital instrument cluster and a 10.1in LCD portrait touchscreen.
Available in Arctic White, Shadow Black, Aluminium and Meteor Grey.
