MAKING THEIR MARK WITH EZYTRAIL 2023
Ezytrail’s 2023 line-up is its biggest in years. Here’s how it shapes up:
Stepping up into the Ezytrail’s 2023 line-up really is something else. Two new ranges and a MK3 specification on almost all existing models signal a shift for the off-road RV builder.
More colour options, layout refinements and comprehensive off-grid capabilities tailored to long-term touring demonstrate Ezytrail’s growing maturity in this space.
In the past 18 months, Ezytrail’s R&D teams collaborated with their overseas supplier to deliver on the customer wishlist, leaving room for more locally-installed accessories. The new ranges also introduce new kitchen and bathroom layouts. Here’s a quick rundown.
Caravan Line-up
The 2023 Ezytrail launched three new caravans under a new premium VZ range for couples and families, ranging from 14ft to 18ft.
“We’ve lightened up the interior, made it more inviting. The VZ range has a brand-new shape and style, leather upholstery and more colour choices. And we made sure there’s enough storage for everyone,” explains Rowena Lyrijis, spokesperson for Ezytrail.
All VZ caravans feature indoor and outdoor kitchens and separate toilet and shower facilities, with full height and pop-top variations. Rowena says the new line provides a real alternative for families and couples seeking luxury, homelike experiences on the road at a competitive price.
During its development, Ezytrail homed in on ergonomics, fine-tuning the microwave accessibility, fridge height, table dimensions, seating positioning and more.
“All the beds come standard with pillow-tops … it feels beautiful. From the feedback we’ve had already, we know we have hit the mark.”
The VZ5400 HR Flagship
First cab of the rank is Ezytrail’s new VZ5400 HR, a full-height couples van with leather lounge, full kitchen, Weber BBQ, two side access to the bed and full-height robes. Off-road, the VZ5400 HR rides on EzyRider suspension and features a narrow profile that performs well out in the bush. A handy near-side shelf delivers cordless charging on all VZ lines.
VZ4800 Quad Variants
The two compact family-orientated caravans in the VZ range target adventurous families or couples. Both models feature bunks that turn into a lounge, so it’s great for grandkids or when the kids migrate to a swag. It comes as a full-height van or ‘low rider’ pop-top variation, which lifts at a push of a button. A full sink, two-door fridge, microwave and two-burner cooktop indoors complement Ezytrail’s popular outdoor kitchen.
ROBE Family Line-up
The new 15ft layout (5.6m) Robe Quad is Ezytrail’s new hardcore family off-road caravan. The fully-insulated expanding bed end increases the internal space. There are fixed bunks, a lounge and a large family bathroom, with a second shower outside. At home in the bush, the Robe features a large toolbox and firewood tray, with the choice of an indoor kitchen (plus the outdoor slide-out). Or one that’s inbuilt externally for fast and easy fry-ups beneath a solid lid.
MK3: More for Less
Four years ago, Ezytrail overhauled its hybrid range with the MK2 release boosting insulation and introducing the F3 and F5 chassis and the EzyRider suspension. The MK3 specification builds upon the MK2’s strengths while cementing Ezytrail’s ties with local accessory suppliers like Aussie Traveller, Projecta and REDARC. Bucking trends, Ezytrail lowered its price point on all MK3-spec models, despite bundling MK2’s most popular options as standard.
Power Management
Ezytrail is partnering with REDARC, Victron and Projecta to equip their 2023 releases with monitored, self-sustaining 12V systems. All new hybrid and caravan models will come with DC-DC charging, high-power inverters, lithium battery packs and roof-mounted solar standard.
