LOOKING FOR A TOP CAMP? THE NOVA BRAVO SIGNATURE WITH Z-SERIES PACK CAN HANDLE A LITTLE DIRT ON ITS SHINS
You don’t need to hit Climies Track to benefit from a bit of dirt-road rigour. Especially if you’re just looking for safe passage to that sprawling riverside camp.
NOVA recognises these ambitions, injecting adventure and off-the-grid comforts into its Bravo Signature tourer line-up with the Z Series specification “our Semi-off-road pack,” as John Sills for NOVA explains. Seasoned travellers and What’s Up Downunder guest hosts Sue and Greg Evans camped up in Shepparton seemed impressed. Let’s check it out!
CLUB LOUNGE OPTION
We’re starting comforts in this mid-size van given that it’s a tourer at heart, showcased in the two-person 196-1C floor plan here. Indeed, the 6.4m body (8.2m hitch to tail) offers spacious living. Stepping into the van, you’ll see a large lounge on the left (optioned with the Club Lounge here) that’s opposite a galley kitchen. That’s equipped with a full oven, inset microwave, grill and four-burner stove concealed beneath bench space. The 184L fridge is a compressor model for excellent performance in the heat.
A TALL VAN
The benchtop tapers towards the island bed, which has robes on either side and a grand bedhead. I love the bedside access to the wardrobes, a thoughtful touch bolstering its overall usability. You can see the television from here and there’s targeted lighting for reading and trip planning at day’s end. I like where they’ve placed the Sirocco fans in this demonstrator, too, working effectively on their own for a gentle breeze in bed. Or in conjunction with the reverse cycle air-conditioner to manage climate control whatever the weather in this nice, tall van.
WASHING MACHINE
The luxury continues as you enter the full-width bathroom at the opposite end. For a van this size it is a large one with tons of storage space. There is a half-height linen closet above the washing machine next to the electric Thetford swivel toilet, seen in our demonstrator model. There’s another pantry next to the shower keeping the towels close at hand. The medicine cupboards above the ceramic vanity are deep and large. There are drawers below and a nifty hand-towel holder in easy reach. Personally, I’d prefer a larger mirror, though the splashback here looks pretty easy to clean.

DO35 COUPLING
Taking all these comforts further is the Z Series pack, equipping the Bravo Signature with AL-KO trailing arm suspension and good ride height with the G&S Chassis. Not forgetting the 360-degree articulation offered with the DO35 hitch. While the Signature is not an off-roader, these features, teamed with checker plate and the solid Pro-Al walls, deliver excellent strength.
Circling back to touring comforts we see two solar panels, DC-DC charging capability, two batteries, 180L of freshwater storage, a grey water tank and a slide-out for a generator–at an ergonomic height. There’s even an outdoor shower to keep your interiors clean.
IN A NUTSHELL
No doubt about it, some of us look to the off-road for adventure.
But if dirt and gravel are more of a means to an end, there’s enough strength and riding rigour in the Bravo Signature Z-Series to survive national parks tracks, especially when teamed with the inherently tough Pro-Al walls.
